"Gossip Girl" Confirms Sixth Season Will Be Its Last
After five highly-successful seasons, "Gossip Girl" has officially announces the sixth rendition will be the show's last.
Gossip Girl's final offering will include just 11 episodes according to TV Line, and fans of the CW hit can undoubtedly expect a lot of drama, "Serena has gone off the grid, beyond even the reach of Gossip Girl. Her friends fear for the worst and hope for the best, but even they can't imagine where they will ultimately find her," the network explained.
Additionally, the season will follow Nate's mission to reveal Gossip Girl's true identity, and in a statement to Parade Chace Crawford (Nate) calls the ending "bittersweet."
"For me, it's going to be…tough to leave New York City. And it's definitely an end of an era. It was college for everyone really," he explains.
Crawford also gave us a little insight as to what we can expect to not see during the final season when he dished about how he would like the series to end saying, "If I got to write the show, it would be a very different thing. I would make Chuck Gossip Girl and I would turn my character into Patrick Bateman from American Psycho. That would be a weird twist of events," the actor told press.
