Gisele Talks About Raising Chickens at LA Home with Food & Wine May 2014
Proving she’s a big fan of natural living, Gisele Bundchen opened up to the May 2014 Food & Wine magazine about raising chickens at her Los Angeles home.
In addition to rocking eco-friendly ensembles and creating an energy efficient environment in her California mansion, the supermodel and her NFL star hubby Tom Brady enjoy raising their food as well.
“I have a beautiful garden in L.A. where I raise chickens. We have very little waste because the chickens eat all of the vegetable scraps, and anything they won’t eat, I put in my compost pile with the chicken poo.”
Gisele eats the fresh eggs to help create a glowing complexion, which she compliments with a refreshing aloe-lemon drink from ingredients in her garden.
Miss Bundchen shared the recipe with the mag, stating she uses the following: “Juice three lemons, peel fresh aloe, add a teaspoon of coconut nectar and a gallon of water, and blend it,” she tells the magazine, also planting the idea of adding a nip of tequila to make it more cocktail-y.”
