George Lopez Jokes about Arrest for Public Intoxication
Living the good life a little too hard while performing in Canada, George Lopez was arrested for public intoxication on Thursday (February 28).
Releasing a statement about the situation to People, the comedian joked, saying, "Tied one on last night. Not feeling great this morning. I was trying to sleep it off, unfortunately, it was on the casino floor."
Security guards at Caesars Windsor called police, who arrived on the scene, arresting the 52-year-old funny man inside the casino bar, just as a fan snapped a quick video and Twitter pic of the action.
A spokesperson for Windsor Police told People, "We can confirm that at 11:25 p.m. Windsor police officers received custody of a male from the OPP Casino Enforcement Unit. The male was subsequently released with no charges."
Lopez had performed at the casino earlier that night, and has been rescheduled to do so again tonight.
