"The Fighter" Premiere Draws Out the Stars

Gathering together to promote their new movie, the stars of "The Fighter" were on-hand for the Los Angeles premiere in Hollywood, California on Monday night (December 6).

Held at the Grauman's Chinese Theatre, Mark Wahlberg and wife Rhea Durham joined actors Christian Bale, Amy Adams and Melissa Leo for the evening affair.

Due in theaters this Friday (December 10), the film tells the story of "boxer "Irish" Micky Ward and his brother who helped train him before going pro in the mid 1980s."

With Wahlberg acting as producer, her recently told press of the decision to bet his cash on the sports flick, telling, "It was just out of sheer desperation for getting the movie made. I had already promised Mickey, Dickie, Alice, Charlene and everybody else involved that we were going to get this movie made and it seemed at first glance like it was a no brainer – I mean, amazing parts, what a wonderful story, a really new and interesting world that you’re not that familiar with, and it just wasn’t meant to be. So, we just had to grab a hold of it and force it to happen through sheer will and determination but very much like Mickey’s journey to winning the title. You just had to go and make it happen."
