Making a stately appearance at the U.S. State Department in Washington, D.C., Stacy “Fergie” Ferguson announced the new Justice Institute on Gender-Based Violence on Friday (March 21).

Down-to-business in a cute power suit, the "Glamorous" singer wore her hair down about her shoulders, with a blue button down under her pin-striped duds.

The 38-year-old beauty acts as Avon Foundation Global Ambassador, and her new institute on Gender-Based Violence works hand-in-hand with her cosmetic partner, the Avon Foundation, Vital Voices, and the U.S. State Department.

In an interview after the conference, Fergie stated, "One in three women [are] affected in their lifetime; there’s more out there that’s unbeknownst to me about people and their stories. I encourage women to speak up and not be shamed, to speak up so that justice can be served."
