Terry Richardson Faces Another Sex-Related Scandal Involving Young Model
Famed photographer Terry Richardson is in hot water after another alleged sex proposition involving a young model.
Over the weekend, Emma Appleton posted a screen shot of a social media message allegedly from Terry, which read, “If I can f**k you I will book you in ny for a shoot for Vogue."
The British model added her own commentary to the post, shared, “Um what?”
“This industry is f**ked up," Appleton wrote after stating that the message is from Terry. "I've been modelling for 5 years and I've never had this before, it doesn't make it okay."
"Beginning to wish I hadn't posted that," she tweeted after facing backlash. "It doesn't matter who you are or what the industry is, just be a decent human being… The fact people think this is acceptable blows my f**king mind."
Sunday night Richardson’s rep said that Appleton’s message was not from the photographer.
“This is obviously a fake," Candice Marks told BuzzFeed. "Terry did not send this text."
Vogue also responded to the drama, stating it has no plans to work with Richardson. “The last assignment Terry Richardson had for US Vogue appeared in the July 2010 issue and we have no plans to work with him in the future," the statement, obtained by the Daily News' [email protected], read.
This isn’t the first time Terry’s faced sex-related drama. In 2010 model Jamie Peck revealed that the photographer had her strip down during a photo shoot and perform a sex act on him. Other models including Rie Rasmussen, Charlotte Waters and Jenna Sauers also spoke out against him.
But in March, Terry defended himself against the allegations writing an open letter to Huffington Post, which read, “I collaborated with consenting adult women who were fully aware of the nature of the work, and as is typical with any project, everyone signed releases. I have never used an offer of work or a threat of rebuke to coerce someone into something that they did not want to do."
