“Simpsons”/ “Family Guy” Teaser Lands at Comic-Con

They’re two of the most beloved animated shows of all time, and “The Simpsons” and “Family Guy” are joining forces for an epic crossover.

During the “Family Guy” panel at the San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday (July 26), a five-minute teaser was screened, showing the Griffin family stuck in Springfield.

Fans nearly revolted when “Family Guy” killed off Brian the beloved dog late last month, but all is well in TV land now that the charismatic canine has been resurrected.

During last night’s Christmas episode (December 15), Stewie whipped up a little time travel magic to restore Brian to his rightful place on the show.

Viewers were shocked with the beloved Brian character was killed off on “Family Guy,” and it turns out there may be more to the playful pooch’s story.

According to a rep from 20th Century Fox TV, a new website claiming to have an upcoming message from Brian isn’t in fact an official source, however fans of the show seem convinced that the Dog hasn’t seen his last days.

They love to change things up and cause creative tension, but the folks behind “Family Guy” may have gone too far with their decision to kill the beloved Griffin family dog Brian.

Executive producer Steve Callaghan explained that creator Seth MacFarlane and the rest of the writers pondered the idea and ultimately decided to replace the pup with another pooch named Vinny whose voice is provided by Tony Sirico of “The Sopranos” fame.

The 18-year-old singer was punched out by Peter Griffin in the show, after Peter thought the Biebs was about to make a move on his wife, Lois.
