It has been 31 years since she was asked to give up her crown as the first African American winner of the Miss America pageant and on Sunday night (September 13) Vanessa Williams finally got the apology she deserves.

The “Saved the Best For Last” songstress stepped down from her throne back in 1984 after Penthouse magazine published nude photos she took years prior.


Miss Oklahoma Olivia Jordan Wins 2015 Miss USA Crown!

With so many beautiful women vying for the same prize, the judges had to make a tough decision at the 2015 Miss USA pageant on Sunday (July 12).

And in the end, Miss Oklahoma Olivia Jordan came out on top, speaking on race relations and naming Oprah Winfrey and Harriet Tubman as two women she’d like to see on the new $10 bill. Oh yeah, and she also looked stunning in her bikini!

The 24-year-old Miss Nevada champ managed to defeat 50 beauty queens from around the nation when everything got underway at Louisiana’s Baton Rouge Civic Center.

With a platform of “celebrating diversity thorough cultural competency talent,” the 24-year-old Miss New York was overjoyed to hear her name called at the conclusion of the competition.
