Mariah Carey Chats It Up at the Spirit Awards

Never one to shy away from the spotlight of an awards show, Mariah Carey headed out to the Santa Monica Pier on Saturday (February 21) for the 2009 Film Independent’s Spirit Awards.

While making her rounds on the blue carpet, Mimi was asked about her feelings on the headline-dominating Chris Brown/Rihanna situation. Not willing to get in the mix, Carey quickly replied: "No, absolutely no comment."

Mickey Rourke, The Wrestler Win Big at the Spirit Awards

Once again ending an awards night with hardware in-hand, Mickey Rourke garnered the Best Male Lead troph at the Film Independent's Spirit Awards in Santa Monica on Saturday (February 21).

Joining fellow winners including Penelope Cruz and Melissa Leo, Rourke grabbed up the best actor prize for his role in the hit film, The Wrestler, which happened to pick up Best Picture during the course of the evening.

Cameron Diaz Hits the 2009 Spirit Awards

Doubling up on the awards shows this weekend, Cameron Diaz was on-hand for the 2009 Film Independent’s Spirit Awards in Santa Monica on Saturday (February 21).

Opting for a booze-themed pre-show afternoon, the "There's Something About Mary" beauty visited Jameson Irish Whiskey and GH Mumm tent along with the Heineken VIP area before heading inside for the evening ceremony.
