Cannes Film Festival 2008

While Christian Audigier was having a party back in Los Angeles, Italian designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana threw their own bash at the 61st Annual Cannes Film Festival.

It all went down at Baoli, Port Canto in the South of France, and stars like Natalie Portman, Kate Hudson, and Lindsay Lohan all showed up to see what all the fuss was about.

There’s nothing like a film about a revolutionary to draw the celebrity crowd. And yesterday “Che” (a combination of Steven Soderbergh’s “Guerrilla” and “The Argentine” running over 4 hours) debuted at the 61st Annual Cannes Film Festival, much to the delight of Natalie Portman, Eva Herzigova, and Naomi Campbell.

Miss Portman has been quite the socialite at Cannes this year, serving as the youngest member of the jury, as well as publicly displaying her affection for boyfriend Devendra Banhart.

When it comes to entertaining crowds of people, Madonna knows what she’s doing. And with her latest film effort “I Am Because We Are” she’s doing her part to change hearts as well.

The Material Girl, along with hubby Guy Ritchie, were spotted at the 61st Annual Cannes Film Festival earlier today for the movie's premiere. “I Am Because We Are” is, “a look into the lives of Malawi's 1 million plus orphans in the wake of the AIDS pandemic. It offers hope and real solutions to the challenges that people face living in extreme poverty.
