Kelly Brook Glams Up BAFTA Awards

When it comes to British awards shows, the BAFTAs are where it’s at. And Kelly Brook looked amazing as she brought a touch of class to the night’s festivities.

As she arrived at the London Palladium, it was clear that all eyes were on Brook. Much like the Oscars, Golden Globes, and Grammys here in the States, last night was just as much about the red carpet as it was about the award winners.


Marion Cotillard Picks Up Cesar Award

She's been collecting awards everywhere she goes, so it comes as little surprise that France's film industry has given its coveted Cesar Award for best actress to the lovely Marion Cotillard.

The 32-year-old Oscar hopeful received the honor for her portrayal of the tragic chanteuse, Edith Piaf, in the French film "La Vie En Rose".

While the US was enthralled with the Grammy Awards last eve, across the pond, there was another celebration going on - the BAFTA Awards.

And like any good celebrity-laden event, there was an afterparty. Stars like Keira Knightley and Sienna Miller (with her sweetie Rhys Ifans) showed up to hob nob with fellow winners and nominees.

The 2008 BAFTA Awards have come and gone - and a little known French actress was the big surprise winner of a dazzling ceremony on Sunday night (February 10).

Marion Cotillard beat out British hopefuls Julie Christie and Keira Knightley to take the best actress award for her performance as singer Edith Piaf in the film La Vie En Rose.


2008 BAFTA Awards: Red Carpet Arrivals

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards (BAFTA) for 2008 are being held in a ceremony at the Royal Opera House in London tonight (February 10).

And the stars have already made it to the red carpet for the Johnathan Ross hosted event - which just so happens to be the overseas equivalent to the American Academy Awards.
