Fitting in a little quality time ahead of the Christmas holiday, Ellen Pompeo was spotted out with her father, Joseph Pompeo, as the duo did some shopping in Beverly Hills on December Wednesday afternoon (December 23).

The Meredith Grey actress looked cute in a comfy plaid buttondown top with jeans as she toted a handful of present purchases out of the Yves Saint Laurent boutique.

In related news, it was recently announced that Miss Pompeo's "Grey's Anatomy" cast is getting a new addition - as Jason George is set to join the Seattle Grace gang in mid-February for at least one episode.

Slated to play anesthesiologist Ben Warren (a love interest for Bailey), it is expected that George's stay will end up being much longer that one episode - depending on viewer feedback.
