Elisabeth Hasselbeck Set to Make "Fox & Friends" Debut in September
There’s a new view coming to the FOX News Channel’s “Fox & Friends” morning show—the network has set Monday September 16th as Elisabeth Hasselbeck's first appearance on the program.
To mark her addition, the show will also unveil a new set. The former panelist on “The View” joins co-hosts Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade (who’ve been with the show since 1998). Hasselbeck replaces Gretchen Carlson, who’s getting her own daytime show.
The former “Survivor” contestant spent almost a decade by Barbara Walters’ side on ABC’s chat fest. Walters and Joy Behar are also leaving the show within the next few months. Just one replacement has been named so far: Jenny McCarthy, who will join Whoopi Goldberg and Sherri Shepherd.
"Elisabeth's warm and engaging personality made her a star on The View," said Fox News chairman and CEO Roger Ailes at the time of her hire. "She has proven to be an excellent conversationalist, and I am certain she will make a great addition to our already successful morning franchise."
