Elin Nordegren Addresses Graduating Class, Throws Shade Towards Tiger Woods
It may have taken her nine years, but Elin Nordegren graduated from Rollins College in Winter Park, FL on Saturday (May 10).
The former model and ex-wife of golfer Tiger Woods was named 2014 Outstanding Graduating Senior. In addition, the Swedish born beauty was given the honor of addressing the graduating class.
During her 10-minute speech, Elin joked about how much has changed for her in the years it took her to complete her degree.
She shared, "When I entered my student adviser office in the fall of 2005, I was 25 years old, I had just recently moved to America, I was married without children," Nordegren said, recognizing her growth. "Today, nine years later, I’m a proud American, and I have two beautiful children—but I’m no longer married."
Nordegren also joked about her breakup with Woods, commenting, "It was right after I had taken [a class in] communications and the media that I was unexpectedly thrust into the media limelight. I probably should have taken more notes in that class!"
