Drew Barrymore Talks Childhood on "Oprah's Next Chapter": Watch Here!
Following the highly-watched interview with Lance Armstrong, Oprah is hoping to keep the momentum going when her in-depth chat with Drew Barrymore airs on Sunday (January 20).
Opening up her home to the daytime icon, the "Whip It!" star talks about her marriage, baby, and her rocky relationship with her mother.
In the sneak peek below, the 37-year-old mom to baby Olive talks about what kind of parent she plans to be, saying, "I will be there at 3pm in the school line waiting to pick her up, that's first and foremost. As a kid I think that's just what I craved the most, just believing that that was gonna be there."
Later, she added, "I think the world offers so many wonderful varieties of obstacles, but that shouldn't be one for kids. Is to worry that my parent won't be there."
When Oprah brought up some of the embarrassing incidents in her past, including drugs, early marriages, and flashing David Letterman, and how that will affect Olive, Drew admitted that it would be a challenge. She shares, "I will try to instill in her that you cannot be ashamed of the journey that it took to get where you are if you're proud of yourself. But I will also try to instill on her that I did not have guidance. That is why I lived my life that way."
