Drake Calls Out Macklemore for Post-Grammy Text to Kendrick Lamar: "That S--t was Wack!"
Last month's Grammy Awards had everybody talking, but in a new interview with Rolling Stone, Drake is opening up about the controversial Best Rap Album winner.
After Macklemore was announced the winner, the "Thrift Shop" singer posted a text exchange between himself and fellow nominee Kendrick Lamar, telling the rapper he was "robbed."
Not holding back, the "Hold On, We're Going Home" hip hop star told the publication, "that s--t was wack as f--k."
Explaining further, he noted, "To name just Kendrick? That s**t made me feel funny," Drake continued. "No, in that case, you robbed everybody. We all need text messages!"
Giving the newcomer a little advice, Drake added, "I was like, 'You won. Why are you posting your text message? Just chill. Take your W, and if you feel you didn't deserve it, go get better — make better music.' It felt cheap. It didn't feel genuine. Why do that? Why feel guilt? You think those guys would pay homage to you if they won? Own your s**t."
