He's sat down for a "Late Show" interview seven times, and now President Barack Obama is sharing his thoughts on David Letterman's retirement announcement.

After the late night legend told his audience that next year will be his last, the Commander in Chief took to his Twitter account to share his thoughts.

"There are more than 10 reasons #DavidLetterman will be missed," Obama wrote, adding a photo of the pair inside the Ed Sullivan Theatre.

President Obama appeared on Dave's show seven times, and twice while in office. When he appeared on the "Late Show" in 2008, it was the first time since 1993 that a sitting president was featured as a guest.
