David Beckham Makes the Injured List
Though he had high hopes of a World Cup appearance, David Beckham will not be playing any more soccer this season.
The hunky Brit sustained a major injury while playing for AC Milan against Chievo yesterday, collapsing to the pitch in the game’s final minutes.
Becks’ coach told press, “Beckham’s injury makes us feel terrible. He understood immediately that he had torn his [left] Achilles tendon.”
David will see a specialist in Finland today (March 15) to assess the damage and approximate recovery time. His rep explained, “He is understandably upset but wants to thank everyone who has sent messages of support. He hopes to make a swift recovery.”
