J.R. Martinez Wins "Dancing with the Stars"
Putting in countless hours of hard work leading up to the much-awaited moment, "Dancing with the Stars" crowned the Season 13 champion on Tuesday night's (November 22) results show.
The ABC dance competition whittled down from the initial 12 pairs to the three final dancing duos of Rob Kardashian and Cheryl Burke, Ricki Lake and Derek Hough, and J.R. Martinez and Karina Smirnoff.
Making the highly-anticipated announcement were the show's co-hosts Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke, who excitedly named J.R. Martinez as the big winners of "DWTS".
Overwhelmed with joy, said of the moment, "First and foremost, I want to thank everyone who voted for us for 10 weeks. Thank you, America, for believing in us."
Martinez then told partner Miss Smirniff, "You are amazing, and I'm so grateful I was able to be a part of your first mirror-ball trophy."
Adding to the entertaining evening, the audience and viewers at home were also treated to a performance of by country stars Lady Antebellum.
Meanwhile, fans of the series can look forward to another batch of dancefloor hopefuls when the program comes back with Season 14 beginning March 19th at 8PM on ABC.
