Britney Spears finally followed through with a music-related commitment. After canceling her spot on Cyndi Lauper's tour because she "didn't want to sing," Brit shot her new music video at a warehouse in Los Angeles on Thursday (July 19).

Dressed in an interesting ensemble - as if on her way to a prostitute's funeral - Britney showed off a few dance moves for her newest single, reportedly titled “Get Back”.

Britney Spears Won’t Be Showing True Colors

Contrary to recent reports, Britney Spears won’t be showing up at the LA installment of Cyndi Lauper’s True Colors tour.

And it’s coming as a surprise for the other members of the tour. Apparently she was invited to perform with the tour at the Greek Theater this Saturday, but she never accepted the offer.

Britney Spears Enlists In Lauper's "True Colors"

Despite the fact that the release of her new album has been delayed until 2008, Britney Spears has made fans happy by announcing that she'll be appearing in concert with pop singer/gay rights activist Cyndi Lauper.

In the 'True Colors' show to be held at Los Angeles' Greek Theatre on June 30, the 'Lucky' songstress will be teaming up with Erasure, Debbie Harry, The Dresden Dolls, The MisShapes with special guest Jeffree Star and host Margaret Cho.

Cyndi Lauper Tours For Gay Rights

If you were alive in the mid-1980s, you will most likely remember Cyndi Lauper's classic "True Colors". For some it is just a love song, while others have attached more significance to the ballad.

"A lot of people were saying that when it came out (in 1986) they were teenagers and they were coming out," says Lauper, 53, a longtime supporter of gay rights. "They were disowned by their family and their friends and their jobs got all messed up and they were totally alone, and suicidal, and then they heard `True Colors' and it made them feel hopeful."
