"Avengers" Stars Hit Comic-Con, Ruffalo Named New Hulk
Confirming rumors that he's turning superhero, it was announced at Comic-Con 2010 that Mark Ruffalo is taking over Edward Norton's role of Incredible Hulk in "The Avengers" movie.
The "Shutter Island" star was all smiles as he took the stage at the San Diego Convention Center on Saturday (July 24) alongside co-stars Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Samuel L. Jackson and Clark Gregg.
With director Joss Whedon also on-hand, the impressive cast was called out by Marvel chief Kevin Feige as they happily posed for pictures - with Robert Downey Jr soaking up the attention by lining up front and center while getting down on one knee.
The film, due in theaters in May 2012, will mix the stories of Hulk, Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Black Widow and others - which has been a dream for Comic-Conners for some time now.
