Claudia Schiffer in Marie Claire March 2014: Aging Is Just A Natural Process
The 43-year-old supermodel looked absolutely stunning for the David Roemer-shot spread while opening up about her younger modeling days and her connection with old friends Cindy Crawford and Eva Herzigova.
Highlights from Miss Schiffer are as follows. For more, be sure to visit Marie Claire UK!
On her younger anti-party days:
"I didn't really go to the parties - I'd go home after the shows. A lot of bad things happen at fashion parties, but I wasn't aware of that at the time. I was so innocent. I wasn't aware that people were taking drugs around me and I was never offered anything. And I didn't like the taste of cigarettes or alcohol."
On staying in contact with Cindy and Eva:
"We see each other very occasionally. We're still in contact via email. I might be in LA and email Cindy or see Eva in London. It's very sporadic, but whenever I see them I can still talk to them, we can pick up where we left out. That's the kind of bond I don't think will ever break. Even though there was a lot of competition, there was also camaraderie and we knew that we were part of a club that was very special."
On keeping up with aging:
"It's completely natural - you grow older, you have more wrinkles, you can your creams to wrinkle creams and try to be healthy. It's just a natural process. If I got worried about it I'd think there was something seriously wrong with me!"
On staying away from celeb tabloids:
"When people write things that aren't particularly truthful, it's best not to know. My husband and I don't read gossip magazines, we're blissfully unaware."
