Chris Brown Seeks Dismissal for Assault Charge
Given his extensive history with the legal system, Chris Brown knows a thing or two about how things work.
And the “Don’t Wake Me Up” singer has submitted a motion for dismissal with regard to the misdemeanor assault charge he acquired after a supposed fracas with a man in Washington DC in 2013.
According to his lawyers, the prosecution “misused the grand jury process in preparation for trial,” and therefore the findings are inadmissible.
Previously, a court report speculated that Chris has some serious psychological issues that have led to his violent and illogical behavior. "It is not uncommon for patients with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Bipolar II to use substances to self-medicate their biochemical mood swings and trauma triggers. Brown became aggressive and acted out physically due to his untreated mental health disorder, severe sleep deprivation, inappropriate self-medicating and untreated PTSD."
