Chris Brown Rejects Plea Deal in D.C. Assault Case
Maintaining his innocence in the incident that occurred outside a Washington D.C. hotel in October, Chris Brown rejected a plea deal today (January 8).
The "Don't Wake Me Up" singer was offered a deal by prosecutors which would reduce his misdemeanor assault charge to simple assault.
However, the 24-year-old hip hop star declined to accept, via his attorney Mark Geragos. The case will continue and if no deal is reached, a trial will be held on the misdemeanor.
Meanwhile, Chris is keeping his head up, tweeting on Tuesday, "Work hard to be the best and appreciate everyone on the way to the top! Never forget who you are and who supported you to get there." On hand to support him in the courtroom today was on again, off again girlfriend Karrueche Tran.
