Chris Brown to Make a Long Trek to Washington DC Trial
Following his arrest after being removed from his stint in rehab, Chris Brown is reportedly being transported by federal marshals to Washington, DC to stand trial for his assault charges.
TMZ reported that the 24-year-old performer was removed from prison today (April 3), and his journey to the nation’s capital from California may take until the weekend to complete.
The "Don’t Wake Me Up" singer is scheduled to appear in court on Monday for his hearing in the case regarding his alleged beating of a man near the W Hotel in October 2013.
Chris’s lawyer Mark Geragos is petitioning to have the assault charges dismissed, believing that prosecutors wrongly used the grand jury to gain an unfair advantage in the case, and if the duo suffers a loss in court, then Chris will be held in Washington DC prison until his next trial begins on April 17th.
