Eager to return to Merry Old England, Cheryl Cole prepared to jet out of the States on Monday (February 17).

While in America, the former Girls Aloud singer attended the funeral of previous Black Eyed Peas manager, Nick Lauher.

Snapping a quick photo in the bathroom, the 30-year-old star tweeted, "Have had the craziest 2 weeks . Don't think I have ever been soo excited to get home and be with my loved ones #peaceoutamerica #sweetdreamsNick #theresnoplacelikehome."

Having gotten close with the manager when BEP member managed her own career, Cheryl posted a heartfelt tribute, writing, "Dearest Nick You are not forgotten, loved one, nor will you ever be. As long as life and memory last, we will remember thee. We miss you now, our hearts are sore, as time goes by we miss you more. Your loving smile, your gentle face, no one can fill your vacant place. "Forever in the hearts of your loving family and friends" So desperately sad to see you go but what a beautiful day to leave us. On the day of love. Go rest with the other angles now until we meet again my friend Sleep tight.. Ps. You're my Teddy bear."
