Chelsea Handler Drops $100,000 for Hurricane Sandy Relief
Putting her money where her mouth is, Chelsea Handler just cut a check to the American Red Cross for $100,000.
During “Chelsea Lately” last night (October 31), the foul-mouthed comedienne chatted with John C. Reilly about Hurricane Sandy’s destruction in the Northeast and urged folks to donate $10 to the Red Cross via text message.
Reilly shared, “People are going to be dealing with it for a long time,” referring to the rebuilding efforts that have already begun.
Handler responded, “I’m going to do it [donate] right now. Go ahead, keep talking. Ask whatever you want.”
From there, Chelsea pledged to donate $100,000 to the Red Cross in John’s name. Handler joins celebrities like Jennifer Lopez and Denise Richards who have also been vocal about helping out.
