Evelyn Lozada Files For Divorce After Chad Ochocinco's Arrest
The consequences from Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson's domestic incident on Saturday (August 11) are mounting.
This afternoon (August 13), the football player's wife Evelyn Lozada filed for divorce in Florida, claiming the marriage was "irretrievably broken."
Though a prenuptial agreement exists, it won't make much of a difference because the marriage was just under six weeks long.
Their marital problems came to a head on Saturday when an argument began over Evelyn finding a receipt for condoms in her husband's car. The 34-year-old athlete allegedly head-butted her and neighbors called the police.
The couple were just married on July 4th in St. Maarten, as part of a VH1 reality show. That show has since been cancelled by the network and the Miami Dolphins have also released the wide receiver from their roster.
