Chad Ochocinco's VH1 Reality Show Gets The Axe
Bad news continues to surface for Chad Ochocinco after his Sunday (August 12) arrest for domestic violence.
According to a rep from VH1, the 34-year-old athlete's soon-to-premiere reality show featuring himself and his new wife, Evelyn Lozada, has been cancelled. The spokesperson told Gossip Cop, "Due to the unfortunate events over the weekend and the seriousness of the allegations, VH1 is pulling the series ‘Ev & Ocho’ from its schedule and has no current plans of airing it.”
The reality show, which was set to feature the pair's Fourth of July nuptials, was slated to air on September 3, but after the recent incident "Ev & Ocho" will no longer hit the airwaves.
As previously reported by GossipCenter, Chad allegedly head-butted his reality star wife after the two got into a "heated argument" when she found a Walgreeens receipt for condoms in the trunk of their car.
Not only has the show been cancelled,but the NFL star is looking at fines and jail time. In light of the charges, he was also reportedly cut from the Miami Dolphins team just hours after he was released from the Broward County Jail.
