Don Pardo Dies at 96

It’s been a tough month for celebrity deaths, and the latest star to pass away is beloved announcer Don Pardo.

The 96-year-old voice talent is probably best known for his 38 seasons on “Saturday Night Live,” and show honcho Lorne Michaels told press, “Every year the new cast couldn’t wait to hear their name said by him.”

Nintendo Responds to Petition to Include Robin Williams in Future Zelda Game

The whole nation was shocked to find out that Robin Williams died on Monday (August 11), and now several members of his family have spoken out about their great loss.

The “Patch Adams” actor’s son Zak shared, “Yesterday, I lost my father and a best friend and the world got a little grayer. I will carry his heart with me every day. I would ask those that loved him to remember him by being as gentle, kind, and generous as he would be. Seek to bring joy to the world as he sought.”

Robin Williams’ Four Finished Films Are Still Forthcoming

Police Confirm Robin Williams' Cause of Death: Suicide by Hanging

As the world mourns the loss of acting Robin Williams today (August 12), the Marin County Sheriff's Office revealed details about the late actor's suicide this afternoon.

The coroner's office performed an autopsy revealing that the cause of death was a suicide from asphyxia due to hanging by a belt. Williams was 63 and had suffered for years from periodic bouts of substance abuse and depression. Just last month, Williams announced he was returning to a 12-step treatment program.
