"Lizzie McGuire" Star Daniel Escobar Dies at Age 49
He played the lovable teacher in the hit Disney series "Lizzie McGuire" and sadly Daniel Escobar died on Friday (December 13th).
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the television star succumbed to complications from his diabetes at a local Los Angeles hospital at the age of 49.
Not only was Mr. Escobar known for his role as opposite of Hilary Duff, but he appeared in other shows including "Dharma & Greg, "NYPD Blue," "Desperate Housewives" and "Weed." His last onscreen appearance was in 2011, where he played small roles in "How I Met Your Mother" and "Whitney."
Among those who gave their condolences to the actor and his family was Jake Thomas who played Lizzie's little brother Matt. "I'm very sad to hear about Daniel Escobar's passing. He made us laugh with his role as theater teacher 'Mr. Escobar."
