Leonard Nimoy Dies at 83

“Star Trek” actor Leonard Nimoy, who was best known for his role as Spock in the iconic series, has died at the age of 83. His wife, Susan Bay Nimoy, confirmed to the New York Times that he passed away earlier today (Feb. 27) at his home in Bel Air.

According to his wife, the star’s death was due to end-stage chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, or COPD. He was reportedly hospitalized earlier this week.

“America’s Next Top Model” Contestant Mirjana Puhar Killed in Triple Homicide

Former “America’s Next Top Model” contestant, Mirjana Puhar, has been killed in a triple homicide at her boyfriend’s home in Charlotte, NC.

The 19-year-old had reportedly just moved in with Jonathan Alvarado after dating for a few months. He and his roommate, Jusmar Gonzaga-Garcia, were also killed. According to reports, a friend of the couple found the bodies and called the police.

“American Horror Story” Actor Ben Woolf Dead After Suffering Head Injury

“American Horror Story: Freak Show” actor Ben Woolf has passed away following a head injury that occurred last week.

The 34-year-old actor, who played Meep on the TV series, was hit in the head by the side-view mirror of a passing SUV on Thursday night (Feb. 19) as he was crossing the street in Hollywood. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where he remained in intensive care before his condition was upgraded to stable on Friday (Feb. 20).

“Parks & Recreation” Producer Harris Wittels Has Died

He was one of the creative forces behind the much-beloved NBC comedy “Parks and Recreation” and sadly Harris Wittels passed away on Thursday (February 19).

The 30-year-old co-executive producer is thought to have died of a drug overdose as his assistant found him unresponsive on his couch inside his Los Angeles home. Given the lack of bodily trauma and proliferation of drug paraphernalia in the residence, police are assuming there was no foul play involved.

1960s Pop Singer Lesley Gore Passes Away at 68

She was the voice behind hits like “It’s My Party” and “She’s A Fool” and sadly Lesley Gore died on Monday (February 16) in New York City.

The 68-year-old singer succumbed to cancer, according to her partner of 33 years Lois Sasson, and is survived by her mother Ronnie and her brother.

Marking one of the first celebrity deaths of 2015, Donna Douglas died in her Louisiana home on Thursday (January 1). According to reports, the beloved “Beverly Hillbillies” actress’ cause of death has not been disclosed. She was 81.

Ms. Douglas is best-known for her role as Elly May Clampett, though she also starred on shows like “The Twilight Zone,” “Mister Ed” and “The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet.”

Neil Patrick Harris Mourns Loss of Beloved Grandmother

While many of his celebrity peers were celebrating Christmas with friends and family, Neil Patrick Harris was in a state of sorrow.

The “How I Met Your Mother” star took to his Instagram account on Tuesday (December 30) to share that his 92-year-old grandmother Martha Jeanne Harris passed away on Christmas Day. Neil wrote, "My grandma passed away on Thursday night, services are today. Martha Jeanne Harris was 92, lived a long, lovely life. We shared a birthday, 6/15. She'll be missed."
