Dick Van Patten Passes Away at 86

Given his prolific presence in Tinseltown for multiple decades, it’s no wonder the entertainment industry is mourning the loss of Dick Van Patten.

The “Eight is Enough” star passed away at the age of 86 on Tuesday (June 23) in a hospital bed at Saint John’s Hospital in Santa Monica, California.

B.B. King Dead at 89

He took blues guitar to a new level over the course of his long and successful career and now B.B. King has tragically passed away.

According to multiple reports, the 89-year-old musician had been hospitalized earlier this month for discolored urine and lack of appetite and while in doctor’s care he suffered a minor heart attack.

Ben E. King: Dead at 76

Back in 1961 he ruled the airwaves with his legendary hit “Stand By Me” and sadly Ben E. King passed away on Thursday (April 30).

The 76-year-old crooner began his career as a member of The Drifters and scored success with songs like “Save the Last Dance For Me,” “This Magic Moment” and “There Goes My Baby.”

Singer Percy Sledge Has Died

He won the hearts of music fans everywhere with his massive hit “When a Man Loves a Woman” and sadly Percy Sledge passed away on Tuesday morning (April 14).

The 73-year-old R&B singer’s agent Steve Green confirmed that Sledge succumbed to his long battle with cancer and died at his home in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

It’s one of the hottest shows on television and “The Big Bang Theory” honored “Star Trek” legend Leonard Nimoy on last night’s episode (March 5).

Given that Jim Parsons’ character Sheldon Cooper was a huge Nimoy fan, the producers actually invited Leonard to lend his voice for a dream sequence a few seasons ago. Following the experience, Nimoy told press, "I thoroughly enjoyed myself. [They're] a talented company and a smart show; they made me welcome."

Leonard Nimoy Dies at 83

“Star Trek” actor Leonard Nimoy, who was best known for his role as Spock in the iconic series, has died at the age of 83. His wife, Susan Bay Nimoy, confirmed to the New York Times that he passed away earlier today (Feb. 27) at his home in Bel Air.

According to his wife, the star’s death was due to end-stage chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, or COPD. He was reportedly hospitalized earlier this week.
