Cate Blanchett Addresses Dylan Farrow’s Letter About Woody Allen Sex Abuse
He’s one of the most prolific directors of his generation, but Woody Allen is getting some serious static from his daughter Dylan Farrow.
Over the weekend, Ms. Farrow penned an open letter detailing Allen’s alleged sexual abuse of her when she was growing up, asking celebrities like Cate Blanchett what they have to say about it all.
And in response, the “Blue Jasmine” star told the Guardian, "It's obviously been a long and painful situation for the family. I hope they find some resolution and peace."
Farrow also called out several other stars- “…Louis CK? Alec Baldwin? What if it had been you, Emma Stone? Or you, Scarlett Johansson? You knew me when I was a little girl, Diane Keaton. Have you forgotten me? Woody Allen is a living testament to the way our society fails the survivors of sexual assault and abuse."
Meanwhile, Woody released his own statement on Sunday (February 2)- "Mr. Allen has read the article and found it untrue and disgraceful. He will be responding very soon."
