Cameron Diaz on Pal Gwyneth's "Conscious Uncoupling": "I Think It's Beautiful" - Watch Here!
Many were baffled by the "conscious uncoupling" of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, but one of her celebrity pals is coming forward to praise the decision.
In an interview with "Extra," Cameron Diaz shared, "It's actually a very elevated and conscious and realized statement."
The "Bad Teacher" star continued, "I think that people, when they...break up, that they have to hate each other, that they can't be friends, that they can't root for one another, that they can't have a partnership in what they have together which is a family and that foundation. And I think that when people like Chris and Gwyneth who really worked hard to be friends and to keep the things that are really good and work in their relationship...and I think it's really brave of them to phrase it that way and let people see that it actually can be done."
Completely on board with the concept, Cameron concludes, "You can actually take separate paths as individuals, but leaving as a couple and deciding to stay together as parents and as friends. I think it's beautiful, I'm so proud of them."
As previously reported by GossipCenter, the "Iron Man" star announced via her GOOP website, "It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate. We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate."
