Bruce Springsteins’s Cousin Found Dead
Coming as quite the shock, Bruce Springsteen's cousin/assistant road manager was found dead in the singer’s Missouri hotel room on Monday, just before he and his band were taking to the stage to perform.
"Lenny Sullivan, Bruce's cousin and the assistant road manager of the E Street Band for the last 10 years, passed away today at the age of 36," a statement on Springsteen's Web site read. "A warm and sensitive person, he was beloved by Bruce, the Band, the crew, and the entire Thrill Hill family."
The incident ended up canceling the show that night in Kansas City, Mo, and all tickets were refunded and promises were made to return to the area “at the earliest opportunity.”
Kansas City police are still investigating, but they do not believe the death was suspicious.
It has been a hard year for Springsteen who was accused of adultery in a friend’s divorce proceedings in the spring, his wife, Pattie Scialfa, suffered a riding accident in April, and last year the E Street Band’s keyboardist and friend, Danny Federici died.
