Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s Million-Dollar Donation

They’ve always been known for using their celebrity for good causes, and over the weekend Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt hooked up a Springfield, Missouri hospital in a big way.

The “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” costars gave $1 million to St. John’s Hospital to establish an endowment fund to pay children’s cancer specialists.

Named the Jane Pitt Pediatric Cancer Center (in honor of Brad’s mom), the hospital’s cancer treatment unit will be completed later this summer.

Also in the works is a 10-bedroom hospital-based Ronald McDonald house as we well as an expansion of the neonatal and pediatric intensive care units.
