Black Eyed Peas Cancel Central Park Gig, Party At The Ave
It was quite the hectic day for the Black Eyed Peas yesterday (June 9) as their Robin Hood Foundation Benefit concert in Central Park was cancelled due to weather.
The “My Humps” hitmakers were forced to call off the huge gig when lightning began striking during a thunderstorm, leaving fans soaked and upset.
Robin Hood Foundation reps released a statement, saying, “The heat wasn’t going to stop them, the rain wasn’t going to stop them, but the lightning–it stopped them. It came down to safety for everyone. Organizers are hoping to reschedule, so ticket buyers should hold onto their tickets. Robinhood.org will have information in the next week or so.”
Instead, Fergie, apl.de.ap, Taboo, and will.i.am headed off to The Ave nightclub for a big 2-year Anniversary bash.
