He was the first ever guest on "The Late Show with David Letterman" and now Bill Murray will return for a special appearance on Thursday (August 29th) to celebrate the show's twentieth year on the air.

The "Ghostbusters" actor will be taking the stage and sit next to Dave. This will mark his twenty-sixth appearance on the CBS talk show.

While he's known for his visits on the "Late Show," Bill also was Mr. Letterman's first guest on his former talk show "Late Night," which aired in 1982.

Since making its debut on the small screen, the "Late Show" has aired 3,897 episodes and 4 primetime specials. Over the past twenty years, the show was nominated for 73 Emmy Awards and won 9.
