The Backstreet Boys to get "Tell-All" Documentary
Since forming back in 1993, the Backstreet Boys have stood out as one of the most successful boy bands of our time, but what's behind all those carefully styled personae and choreographed dance moves?
Soon, fans will get to find out when a new documentary based on their careers promises a "tell-all project about all five original members of the band."
Directed by Stephen Kijak, the film will mark the BSB's 20th anniversary. In a statement, the band said, "We always wanted to make a film and now is the ideal time. With Kevin back, the fact that we are masters of our own destiny, a new album in the works and our 20th anniversary -- it all adds up to being the right time to share our story."
Hinting at a look into the darker side of the boy band, Kijak stated, "What drew me to this project is their openness and willingness to push themselves into uncomfortable places, to be vulnerable and honest and to be really trusting of the filmmaking team to steer them in the right direction. BSB is getting real and it has been exciting to work with them as they explore their past and start to look towards their futures."
