Ariel Winter's Maternal Grandfather Denies Any Abuse
Trying to get her mind off the family drama playing out in the public eye, Ariel Winter went to Thai Massage with her sister Shanelle Workman in Studio City, California on Friday (November 9).
The "Modern Family" starlet looked cute and casual in a blue t-shirt, dark skinny jeans, black flats, and aviator sunglasses as she and her sister kept their heads averted from the cameras.
Meanwhile, the girls' maternal grandfather filed a declaration in the ongoing guardianship case recently. In the letter obtained by TMZ, James Batistas writes that his daughter (Chrystal Workman) is a "very good mother to all the children."
He continues, "I have never seen any abuse from my daughter or son-in-law towards my granddaughters neither physical nor emotionally."
Though he later notes that Shanelle came to live with him when she was 16 after similar abuse allegations, sources report that she was actually in foster care for over two years before her grandfather took custody.
Also, nowadays Grandpa Batistas only sees the girls about once every two years. At this point in the case, Shanelle still has temporary guardianship of her sister, though Chrystal is fighting to regain custody.
