Anderson Cooper: Star Jones’ “Coming Out” Claim is “Absurd”
It’s no secret that he revealed his homosexuality earlier this year, and Anderson Cooper is taking issue with Star Jones’ allegation that he came out in order to increase ratings for his new show.
The popular television host noted, “The only thing that did kind of annoy me… [was] Star Jones, of all people.”
“I haven’t thought about Star Jones in I don’t know how long. I was unaware she was even on TV still… but she apparently shows up on the ["Today Show"].”
“Anyway, out of the blue, Star Jones said… [the coming out] was a ratings ploy by me to boost ratings,” he added, stating that he wasn’t on the air at the time and never did any interviews on the topic.
Cooper also mentioned that Star wouldn't shut up about her wedding to “get free products,” and also “lied about her gastric bypass surgery.”
