"American Idol" Recap: Lambert & Presley Perform, Final 2 Named
With the season winding down to a close, "American Idol" narrowed the contestants down to the final two during a results show on Thursday night (May 17).
Prior to the big announcement, Jennifer Lopez was spotted making a glamorous arrival to the studios before joining alongside fellow judges Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson for the evening's festivities.
The final three episode featured two guest performances, with Lisa Marie Presley taking the stage first for a rendition of her new single "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet" while former "American Idol" runner-up Adam Lambert later treated audience members and viewers at home to a tune called "Never Close Our Eyes” from his just-debuted album, Trespassing.
As for the show's finalists, host Ryan Seacrest revealed that Jessica Sanchez will face off against Phillip Phillips for the "Idol" title while Joshua Ledet was eliminated from the FOX singing competition.
Sanchez and Phillips will take the stage for their final performance on Tuesday night (May 19) while the winner will be announced the following evening.
