Gearing up for the debut of her new show "24 Hour Catwalk," Alexa Chung was selected as the cover girl for the November 2011 issue of Teen Vogue magazine.

The 27-year-old posed for a lovely spread shot by photographer Paola Kudacki while talking about topics ranging from her upcoming series to being newly single.

Highlights from Alexa's interview are as follows. For more, be sure to visit Teen Vogue!

On her new show 24 Hour Catwalk:
"I only wanted to do this if it was going to be a genuine search for designers and if I would be working alongside people who are legitimate in the fashion industry."

On being newly single:
"It's good to be on your own in an exciting city. This is when you do stuff for yourself. Right now is a real turning point. Everything I thought I knew is no longer. I think this is the year I have to grow up."

On the Royal Wedding:
"I massively bought into the fairy-tale wedding. But the fact that the press were giving Kate all this fanfare before she looked amazing is a bit weird, because it's obvious she got a stylist. Regardless, no one cares about the mechanics behind why someone looks good."

On her personal style:
"I love schoolgirl style; it's relaxed but smart, boyish but girly—all my favorite juxtapositions in one."

On her style icons:
"Jane Birkin, Penelope Tree, Jean Shrimpton—those are all the people whose style I admire."
