Adele's "Skyfall" Theme Will Hit #2 on Singles Chart

After being bested by Rihanna last week, Adele's theme for the new Bond flick "Skyfall" will again fail to reach the top of the charts, according to the Official Charts Company.

Holding the 24-year-old crooner back from the top spot is Scandinavian DJ supergroup Swedish House Mafia, whose song "Don't You Worry Child" outsold hers by 22,000 copies.

Call it the Bond curse, but no Bond theme song has ever reached number one on the Singles Chart, despite being backed up by some serious starpower.

Duran Duran's 1985 single, A View to a Kill, also reached number two. Other singers of the spy theme who've failed to nap the top spot include Paul McCartney, Tom Jones, and Madonna.
