Adam Levine Talks Yoga Routine in Men's Health March 2013
The 33-year-old singer posed for photographer Ture Lillegraven before opening up to the mag about the exercise routine that not only keeps him focused, but also gives him that rockin' bod.
Adam explained that when he's feeling off-balance, he turns to yoga, adding, "I have a hard time sitting still. I can be all over the map. Yoga has given me the ability to be more focused and make better decisions that come from a clear place."
The routine helps the Maroon 5 frontman battle stress and makes him a better performer. "I'm not a great performer. I'm just uncomplicated. And I have this is to the contestants on The Voice: the biggest thing is confidence - not false confidence but real confidence," he says.
Adam even offered up some advice to achieve the difficult poses, and said, "A lot of times people will think, 'I'm strong. I'm in shape; why can't I do this pose?' But that's not the point. There's nothing to win in yoga. Just do what you can do, one day to the next."
Finally, Levine credits Yoga for his many accomplishments, adding, "It's made me more successful. I love it and I don't know what I do without it."
