After taking home a SAG, Golden Globe and Independent Spirit Award, it comes with little shock that Cate Blanchett won an Academy Award for Best Actress this evening (March 2) for her role in Woody Allen's "Blue Jasmine."

While on the Dolby Theatre stage, the Australian beauty paid tribute to each and every one of her competitors, even jokingly telling Julia Roberts to "suck it."

Before finishing up, Cate also let the big boys in Hollywood know that there is definitely a place for women-centered films in theaters and powerful roles in the films.

"Audiences want to see them and in fact, they earn money," Blanchett said, earning a loud cheer from the crowd.

Congrats to Miss Blanchett on her win!
